Well there you have it ladies, the summer solstice has passed and the days are getting shorter again here in the northern hemisphere. As sad as that may be, we have a big list of events lined up for this last full week of June that will be sure to put a smile on your face.
Ladies Looking Ahead — Early Week
The smile fest kicks off on Monday the 22nd with an intellectually stimulating entertainment law panel at The Charles Aidikoff Screening Room in Beverly Hills, which aims to help ladies learn how to avoid potential pitfalls when creating independent films. Pretty handy if that’s your industry of choice…
Tuesday morning tees off with the Illinois Women’s State Amateur Championship and keeps the ball rolling for golf enthusiasts all the way through Friday.
Victoria Cook, author of Plans to Prosper: Strategies, Systems & Tools for Small Business Marketing Success hosts an in-person workshop on Tuesday, titled How to Enjoy Summer without Losing Business Growth (or Your Mind). Earlier in the day however, many of you will also likely have joined author Kelley Rosano for a webinar that shows us how to harness the power of intention to create the love we’ve been dreaming of. Yes ladies and gentlemen, love can be ours!
Ladies Looking Ahead — Mid-Week
By the time Wednesday gets underway both WBDC and AudioAcrobat have great business growth tools available in the morning, while in the evening the Berkeley Art Center’s Portfolio Day gives Bay Area artists the opportunity to have a fifteen minute, one-on-one portfolio review with curators and gallery professionals. Jayne Sanders can also be found in Littleton, CO that eventing at a free event inside Irresistible’s Boutique, where she’ll be sharing information on scientific hand analysis.
If you’ve ever considered volunteering for orphanages, conservation, empowerment programs & women projects in Kenya, Thursday is your day.
WBDC also hosts another event in Illinois, which focuses on sourcing alternative sources of financing. That evening the International Screenwriters’ Association has invited us to come meet their staff and other special guests, mingle with industry professionals, and maybe even win a door prize at the ISA’s upcoming Third Thursdays networking mixer for screenwriters on Sunset Blvd. See you there!
Ladies Looking Ahead — Weekend
If you haven’t got your fill by Friday, there’s still time for fun in Toronto with Eljuri’s Canadian debut at Luminato Festival, which just happens to be one of the coolest free outdoor concerts we’ve had the pleasure of recommending. Definitely something NOT to miss if you’re in town for the weekend!
For those of you who didn’t see it coming… Saturday is the Psychic & Energy Therapies Fair in Menomonee Falls, WI where attendees are welcomed to enjoy readings, browse the crafts & other gift items and enjoy a chakra balancing all under one roof.
This is also the day where Jamarie Milkovic brings an exclusive group of ten women entrepreneurs together for group interaction and one-on-one attention focusing on personal brand upgrades in San Francisco from 9-3. Saturday afternoon in the city also sees a very cool adult workshop at MCD on 3D Printing with 3D Systems … just imagine what you could print with one of those things!
Last but not least for the week, we’d like to quickly mention America’s largest speed dating convention, as presented by The Society of Single Professionals at the Santa Clara Convention Center. And like that — it’s over!
Whew — what a week — and it hasn’t even started!
We hope these events, amongst others found on WomensCalendar, will help you to get the most out of this upcoming seven day stretch.
If you have an event that we haven’t mentioned, make sure to post it on WomensCalendar so we can help to promote!
