Originally cultivated in France for its fruit, people all around the world gather in celebration each year on February 27th for National Strawberry Day!
If you’ve ever bitten into a bright red strawberry, just the thought of the sweet aroma and juicy flavor explosion should take you right back…
In addition to being eaten fresh, strawberries can also be found fairly easily in a variety of preserves, juice, pies, ice creams, milkshakes, chocolates, wine and craft beer.
Fun Fact: The correct way to eat a strawberry is to pull the leaves off the crown and pop it in your mouth. Make sure the point is facing forward for maximum flavor!
How To Celebrate National Strawberry Day
Celebrate by popping a fresh strawberry in your mouth or chopping a few up (YOU MURDERER!) and adding them to a delicious bowl of yogurt or ice cream — and make sure to use #NationalStrawberryDay and/or #StrawberryDay when posting your juice-stained snaps on social media.
