Well that first week of July really seemed to go by quickly, and without fail…here’s another!
And it totally includes a must-attend event for ladies seeking an MBA (get to Chicago ASAP!) while at the same paving way for those conjuring up the perfect excuse to take their teddy bears on a picnic, but somehow also manages to provide a medium of presentation for that perfect (vegan) jalapeno-bacon cheddar mac n cheese recipe we saw on Facebook.
Wait a sec, you mean to tell us that the week isn’t cool enough yet?
Well, we weren’t finished telling you about it.
And we hadn’t even gotten to National Nude Day…
How about that?
Like a babe in the woods needing guidance in the rough territory that is our modern world, this is a week which educates us about one of the most important marketing tools ever (Vancouver, WA you’re beyond lucky to have the DIY Marketing Center in your wooded backyard) but also celebrates two extremely important adult beverage-flavored stress relievers, aka the Piña Colada and Mojito?
Ok, now you’re getting the vibe, yeah?
This same week(end) sees Nicaraguan singer-songwriter Katia Cardenal hosting a benefit concert for and talk about Nicaragua in Berkeley, as well as ex-Colombian / now (Los) Angeleno (Angelena?) artist Gala Porras-Kim’s opening reception at Headlands in Sausalito, where she’s invited everyone to help investigate ancient methodologies of decay and documentation through her work.
Also pretty mind-blowing.
Not as crazy as that vegan cheese (it’s super tasty, really!), but on the level for sure.
Or will it be culinary excitement and professional surprise instead (?) — you be the judge!
