“Always have a backup plan.” —Mila Kunis
From her time spent as Jackie Burkhart on That ’70s Show and voicing Meg Griffin on Family Guy — to her breakout film role in Forgetting Sarah Marshall, her Golden Globe-nominated appearance in Black Swan and (my personal fav) playing Lori Collins in the hilarious stoner teddy bear story, Ted, Mila Kunis has been making audiences laugh, cringe and cry since the mid-late 90s.
So, today is her special day and we’re wishing this Ukrainian-born (yet wholesomely American) actress a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Each year on August 14, the world pays tribute to the frozen dessert commonly known as a Creamsicle.
Because orange is the most commonly recognized flavor, others typically fall to the wayside as a result.
Celebrate by biting into one of these on a hot summer day in mid-August and do your part for the planet by recycling or composting the wooden stick that holds it all together.

Blazing the trail of data encryption, Navajo “code talkers” were enlisted by the U.S. Marines to pass messages along the airwaves during World War II, in such a way that the Japanese couldn’t decipher.
While the Navajo weren’t the first Native Americans to assist the government in code talking, August 14th is the day that the 400+ Navajos that went to war on behalf of the United States in WWII are recognized for their priceless encoded contributions.
