Promote Stronger with A Package
The Review Process
Once you’ve posted your event on WomensCalendar, it will be placed in a queue of events that our staff manually approves. Events are typically approved daily during regular business hours. Once our staff has reviewed your event submission, you’ll receive an email confirmation containing either an approval or rejection message.
To view your approved event on WomensCalendar, visit the Calendar and search for your event. If you receive a rejection notice, please look at the line labeled “Rejection message” for an explanation of why your event was rejected and what to change when resubmitting.
Adding Images
When adding an image to your event, you’ll want to make sure to include one that clearly represents your event and will resonate with viewers on a personal and/or emotional level. You’ll also want to make sure that you have permission from the copyright holder to use their image(s).
In terms of image size, the general rule is “the bigger the better”, as higher resolution images will look much cleaner when showcased in certain areas of the calendar and on social media. Square images of at least 1000 x 1000 pixels in size will typically look best in the widest variety of locations.
Featured Event images will be placed not only in the Calendar and on the Event Page itself, but will also be seen in the slider on the Home Page and Featured Events pages, as well in social media promotion by WomensCalendar on Facebook and Twitter.
Google Maps
When posting a physical “on the ground” event, event creators have the ability to include an address, which will in turn populate an interactive Google Map on the event page.
Making sure to include the correct address here will ensure event attendees will be able to easily view the venue location and get directions to the event.
If the event does not have a physical address, we recommend using the “online event” field to insert a web address for the event instead.
United States, Canada, Europe and Oceania
When posting an event, event creators will currently see four different geography-based filter groups labeled United States, Canada, Europe and Oceania.
By selecting the state, territory, province or country the event is taking place in, viewers will be able to more easily find the event. If the event is outside of the United States, Canada, Europe, or Oceania we recommend leaving the respective areas empty.
Does the event you’re posting take place outside of the United States, Canada, Europe or Oceania?

Virtual Events
WomensCalendar also includes the ability for event creators to identify their events as Virtual Events.
When posting your event you’ll see a filter group labeled “Virtual Events”, which includes event types such as: teleseminar, webinar, internet radio and many more. By selecting a virtual event type, viewers will be able to easily find your event when filtering by virtual events.
